From 2011
Part 1 was about knowing that there is a spiritual war taking place, that the enemy is Satan and his legions of followers, and how they attack.
Part 2 was about the belt of truth – His Word, His love letter to us. We need to not only read the Bible but meditate on it, “hide it in our hearts,” then call on His words, and rely on God’s supernatural protection to defeat Satan. We cannot do it on our own, but we need to do our part.

With Derrick and Christie recently getting engaged all things wedding are on my mind and on my radar. I recently listened to an interview with Mike Grayson and his fiancée, Molly. Mike is the lead singer for the Christian band Mike’s Chair. Molly was telling the story of how Mike proposed last fall. After Molly finished her story she paused and said: “All I kept thinking was: I get him.” Molly was saying she was so thrilled to spend the rest of her life with Mike.

As I wrote about last spring Alli graduated from high school in May. As part of the baccalaureate ceremony everyone in the family was asked to write a letter to their son/daughter and then read the letter to them at the ceremony.
