It’s A Wonderful Life?

As I recently posted on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, Frank Capra’s “It’s a Wonderful Life” is my favorite movie of all-time.  I used to make the kids watch it when they were young and now I try to convince them to watch it with me – mostly they just make fun of me for watching a black and white movie.

Beach Muscles?

Friends and Family,

Every year from 1997 to 2005 we took a summer vacation on Fripp Island.  It still is one of our favorite vacation places for several reasons. One, you don’t have to get in your car the entire week since the preferred method of transportation is a golf cart.  Two, there really isn’t much to do so it is incredibly relaxing.  And three,

Thrill of Defeat?

From Fall of 2010

Two weeks ago I mentioned Cam’s football team. Last week I talked about the purpose of trials in our lives (growth and spiritual maturity) as stated in James 1:3-4 “the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete.” But something Cam said recently made me realize another purpose of our trials.
